I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
